I’m SICK with jealousy.
Over the weekend, Luke Combs continued his overseas trek as part of his part of his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour, which has been a massive success this year.
Since kicking off back in March, Combs has broken a staggering four different attendance records both here in the U.S. and across the pond, setting Ohio Stadium’s (97,367), Lambeau Field’s (51,981), and Neyland Stadium’s (92,045) record for highest-attended concerts. Additionally, the “Hurricane” singer would set the record for the largest country music crowd ever in the Nordic region, with 60,826 fans at his July 4th show in Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden.
On all fronts, 2026 has been a heck of a year for him, as back in March, he dropped his “I’m back” project – the high-energy The Way I Am album, and it was pretty clear that he was, in fact, back. The album would debut at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, selling 101,000 equivalent units in its first week. Additionally, it debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200, The Way I Am marking his seventh Top 10 record on the all-genre chart.
But his most recent shows in Edinburgh at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium on Saturday looked like the best one yet… because Scottish actor Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser on the hit Starz historical drama series Outlander, was there to shotgun some beer with Combs. He was also joined by Richard Rankin, who plays Roger Wakefield MacKenzie on the show, as well as midfielder for the Premier League club Aston Villa, John McGinn.
They all walked out to thousands of excited, screaming fans, and Heughan even had on a kilt for the occasion, and he looked quite excited to b there, jumping up and down and hyping up the crowd before the got down to business shotgunning beers.
I know the Scots and all the Europeans love their beer, but when it comes to the art of shotgunning… Luke had them all beat by a country mile. I mean, we’ve seen many times how fast he is, but it never ceases to amaze me. I’m starting to wonder if he actually drinks it all, but who am I to question his abilities… it’s just insane speed, but he has had a lot of practice, and I digress…
I believe the woman on stage with them is Luke’s mom, so good for her for getting to be helped down the stage by Jamie Fraser himself. What a dream… I’m a massive Outlander fan, so it’s cool to see my world’s collide like this, and what a night for the Scottish fans:
