Koe Wetzel Gets Smoked By A Beer While Performing “High Road” At Fairwell Festival, Doesn’t Miss A Note

He was singing to himself in that moment.

Country music fans were not on their best behavior over the weekend. Morgan Wallen was battling the crowd in Arizona, noting that he wasn’t sure he was “ever gonna come back” after the events that unfolded during night one.

A member of the crowd allegedly grabbed Wallen, and a concertgoer shared that fans were throwing so many things onto the stage that his crew had to come and clear the discarded items off so Wallen could perform.

“Y’all were literally throwing so much stuff on stage, crew members from backstage were coming out to grab stuff off the stage.”

@kam27455 For all those wondering, why Morgan Wallen was mad about night 1, and why he probably didn’t walk through the floor night 2. All it took was one person to ruin it for the rest. @morganwallen what a great show, both night were phenomenal! Lovin what your doing, keep up the great work, can’t wait to see you next time! Definitely the #1 country artist in my book. #morganwallen #imtheproblem #morganwallenmad #morganwallenarizona #morganwallenconcert #statefarmstadium #arizona #concert #country ♬ original sound – kam

Luckily the crowd on night 2 was much better.

But Morgan Wallen was not the only artist battling unruly fan behavior over the weekend. In Redmond, Oregon, at Fairwell Festival, Koe Wetzel fans took their rowdiness too far when someone launched a beer can at Koe, nailing him near his head.

While Koe Wetzel fans are known for being rowdy, most of the time, they see how Koe feels that night before letting it rip. I mean, let’s not forget the wild scene of him playing with Treaty Oak Revival, beer cans were flying everywhere. Most of that rowdiness took place during Treaty Oak’s set, but it sets the scene of what kind of fans both artists attract.

However, given that festivals bring together crowds of many artists and families attend, these crowds are typically more tame than your traditional Koe Wetzel show. Because of this, Koe was shocked when a full beer can came flying toward him while he was performing “High Road.”

Mid-chorus, the beer hits Koe slightly above his chest, and the beer flew across his face and guitar. Koe, truly embodying the lyrics of “High Road,” kept singing while he took off his sunglasses to wipe the liquid off the lenses. This one TikTok user said it best when they left the comment:

“He definitely took the high road there!”

While rowdiness is welcomed when the artist encourages it or when it’s in a more controlled environment, throwing a full beer at an artist is never a good move. Not only could it inflict serious harm (and with Koe being a father, he does not need to be injured), but it also isn’t fun for others in the crowd to be showered with beer as the cans fly toward the stage. Also, festival beers are like $14… why are you wasting one?

Braxton Keith said it best.. “This is unacceptable behavior for any concert.”

Before you go, check out a teaser of the new single that Koe is gearing up to release later this week. “Surrounded” will be available everywhere on July 25th.
