Apparently Antonio Brown’s fledgling media empire CTESPN and whatever blue check mark engagement commission he gets from Elon Musk’s X/Twitter aren’t enough to cover a wealth of poor decisions. The disgraced former NFL wide receiver confirmed he filed for bankruptcy recently by dropping some merchandise with that as the theme. Not sure who out there in their right mind would want to buy anything with Brown’s likeness on it at this point, but hey, maybe in a darkly comic, twisted way, it appeals to some sickos.
AB loves Everyone
Does Everyone love AB?

News has surfaced that Brown, who infamously ran the National Arena League’s Albany Empire football team into the ground as owner, owes myriad debts from outstanding civil suits and various other settlements.
Antonio Brown is broke. The controversial and erratic former NFL receiver filed for federal bankruptcy in Florida on Monday and owes nearly $3 million to eight creditors. https://t.co/kACelbq3sq pic.twitter.com/J12zNWwmHA

Don’t let that stop him from re-plugging his smash hit debut single featuring Rick Ross titled, “Whole Lotta Money” that released years ago.

It’s odd that AB feels 100% comfortable laughing at himself and self-parodying to such a severe degree. Half the time, it’s hard to tell if he’s self-aware enough to recognize the contradictions in what he says, or if he’s in on the bit at all. I mean really, we are pushing the boundaries here, when CTESPN is breaking the news of Brown’s financial ruin and doing victory laps about it.

Who runs the CTESPN accounts? It’s all so strange, and again, is it a sad attempt to exploit Brown’s downfall for engagement-based revenue?
Anyway, couldn’t help but chuckle at AB’s nod to the so-called Madden Curse — the notion that every cover athlete on the video game franchise is jinxed in some brutal way.

Safe to say Brown did indeed take the cover hex to a whole new level. The partial thread below outlines merely some of the factors that led Brown to going broke.
After all that, most athletes are typically left with 50-60% of their reported salaries.
This means AB probably only retired with around $50M in 2021, and things only went downhill from there.

April 2023: Brown is sued by a celebrity jeweler who loaned Brown two diamond fingers that cost $500,000 each.
Brown never returned the jewelry and was ordered to pay $1.1M by a judge.

According to the court filings, Brown is also unable to pay at least three six-figure civil suits he's lost.
Oh, how the mighty have fallen…

It’s clear something is psychologically off with this guy. AB seems to have surrounded himself with a bunch of yes-men/women who are content to leech off him, or join AB in doing whatever it is that he does, until the wheels completely fall off. What a sad way for all involved to go through life. Now, it seems like this might be the breaking point where everything caves in. Brown’s behavior, misdeeds, and general recklessness aren’t sustainable.
As much as I personally do not like the guy at all and think he’s the scumbag star athlete to end all scumbag star athletes this side of Deshaun Watson, Brown needs serious help. Don’t know a gentler way to put it than that.
