Tennessee Titans fans aren’t happy with the latest change by the Nashville NFL franchise.
It’s a new era for the Tennessee Titans. For over two decades, the Nashville NFL team has sported colors of navy, baby blue, and red. Their flaming “T” logo wasn’t the most popular in the league, but it was beloved by fans. And this past offseason, as the team nears their move to a new stadium in 2027, the Titans decided it was time for a complete rebrand.
It was in March when the “Music City” team revealed their official new logo, uniforms, and color scheme… and it’s both a fresh look and a nod to when the Titans were originally known as the Houston Oilers (before they relocated to Tennessee):
Personally, I’ll miss the flames on the logo, but I think it’s a good look… and most Titans fans agree.
As most know, change can be very hard thing to go through. Die hard Tennessee Titans handled all of the color scheme and logo rebrands quite well. But now, the Titans did something that has many Titan fans putting their foot down. The franchise decided to replace the team’s mascot – T-Rac (short for Titans Raccoon) – and it’s not going over well.
“The transformation is complete.”
Something about that just doesn’t feel right.
T-Rac had looked the exact same since 1999, when the franchise moved to Tennessee and they made the state’s official wild animal the team’s mascot. Amidst all of the change that the Titans have gone through in 2026, this modification seems to be the straw that broke the camel’s back:
man i like trac but this is a downgrade

Took the personality out and went generic.

The person who made this decision is clearly not a Titans fan. The constant need to gentrify the franchise is confusing. Four years of losing and clown show behavior by people in positions of power, are why people are dissatisfied. Not the branding. https://t.co/5FYwxXQgzg

Might I also add that it feels very cruel to let the old T-Rac get comfortable with the new rebrand, and even sport the new Titans uniform in this video (and for the past couple of months) before replacing him with what feels like a very generic raccoon.
If you ask me, they would have been better off just going full Jimothy.
