You don’t see this kind of fish every day.

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, you stumble upon a video of an incredible “rainbow fish” that an angler caught in Florida. It looks straight out of the children’s book of the same name, but it’s actually called a surge wrasse, which is a species of fish that is commonly found off the coast of the Sunshine State.

The marine fish is native to parts of the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans. They’re are over 600 different types of wrasse swimming in the sea, but the surge wrasse is often the most sought after just because of its unique pigmentation.

I could describe to you what they look like with their bright colors and everything else. Instead, I’m just going to direct you to the video below, which shows an angler holding up an alien-like surge wrasse to show off to the camera before he releases it back into the water.

Check it out:

Pretty crazy looking fish, am I right?

They aren’t much as game fish, but visually, it’s hard to find another fish that has more distinct colors and natural beauty. A lot of people on social media were seeing this species of fish for the first time, and they were blown away to the say the least:

We were all thinking it, weren’t we?
