An unforgettable experience for little Ellie.
Last night, Riley Green was in Southaven, Mississippi at a stop on his Ain’t My Last Rodeo tour at Bank Plus Amphitheater at Snowden Grove, and he brought a very special guest on stage to help him sing “Mississippi Or Me.”
Ellie joined Riley and his band to sing the final chorus of the song, wearing a super cute pink rhinestoned jacket that said “Mississippi Or Me” on the back. He told the crowd he wanted them to see the awesome jacket first, though:
“Alright listen Ellie, the first thing we gotta do is turn around and let everybody see your jacket, ‘cuz that’s my favorite thing… remember we were talking earlier and you’re gonna help me sing this last chorus? Y’all mind helping us one time?”
And of course, “Mississippi Or Me” has been a longtime fan-favorite, and was included on Riley’s 2023 Ain’t My Last Rodeo album.
Written by Riley along with Tyler Reeve and Josh Thompson, the subject matter finds Riley wondering if the girl who broke his heart came back because she couldn’t live without him, or because she missed her home in Mississippi and everything else in the Magnolia State.
It’s super cute to see Ellie up on stage singing for thousands of fans who cheered for and encouraged her (especially considering that the show was in Mississippi), and obviously, is a special moment she’ll never forget.
