Kacey Musgraves and Skip Marley make a fantastic duo.

Kacey was featured on the Bob Marley: One Love EP in February, which accompanied the major motion picture biopic that premiered a couple months ago.

The Marley family had a hand in picking and approving all selections for the tracklist of covers, and it also featured artists like Daniel Caesar, Wizkid, Leon Bridges, Jessie Reyez, Bloody Civilian, and the aforementioned Skip Marley, grandson of Bob Marley.

Kacey appeared on The Today Show last week in support of her new Deeper Well album, and she had Skip join her during her set to sing “Three Little Birds,” which was just perfect. He brought that classic, reggae element to the song, and balanced to well to Kacey’s more pure, modern-sounding version.

Of course, the song is an instantly recognizable classic from Marley’s extensive and impressive catalog, and was the fourth track on side two of Bob Marley and the Wailers 1977 Exodus album. It was later released as a single in 1980, and has since been certified Platinum in several different countries, including 2× Platinum in the UK.

Covering a music icon like Bob Marley is no easy task, and while the original will always be its own thing that no one will ever be able to create, Kacey and Skip paid perfect tribute to him. Definitely take a few minutes out of your day to check it out:
