Through 12 Games Of March Madness, Falcons RB Bijan Robinson Is One Of The .0396% With A Perfect Bracket

Bijan Robinson
NCAA March Madness

There was an early post on social media during Thursday’s Round of 64 action in the NCAA Tournament that revealed Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson had a perfect racket, with his alma mater Texas Longhorns going all the way to win the national title as a No. 7 seed.

Picking such an underdog to cut down the nets at the Final Four is a bold choice indeed, but now that we only have the late-game window to account for, maybe it’s time to trust the rising second-year NFLer when it comes to college hoops. The jury is out as to whether he can bet on sports with the likes of Dez Bryant or Kayshon Boutte. Too soon and not football-adjacent enough to dig Shohei Ohtani here.

Whether Bijan wagered on March Madness matters not. This guy picked all 12 of the 2024 NCAA Tournament’s opening games to perfection, including three double-digit seeds in No. 11s Duquesne and Oregon, along with freaking 14th-seeded Oakland in their stunning upset of Kentucky.

I would say that I feel kind of bad jinxing Bjian like this, because let’s face it, if he somehow made it through Day 1 without a blemish on his bracket, that would be a true crowning achievement. Pretty sure his run will ultimately be busted for being such a homer with the Longhorns anyway. It’s worth acknowledging, though, just how impressive Bijan’s performance is to this early point.

Yours truly had to cross-reference every game with the bracket to make sure Bijan didn’t drop one. It all checked out. Un-freaking-believable. Kind of similar to how I feel about Dez. As if being in the NFL and being an amazing football player isn’t good enough. You guys have to show us plebs up like this and be modern-day Nostradamuses on your sports predictions?? Leave some for the rest of us!

Don’t know if anyone else has picked up on this yet as I write it, but no matter what happens, Bijan deserves some serious props here. Texas could get the piss knocked out of them against Tennessee, lose by 20, and it’d still be wildly impressive on Bijan’s part to forecast what else transpired on Thursday. What a beast on the gridiron and in the mad science of bracketology. If this March Madness run is any indication on what’s in store for Bijan and the Falcons this season, it seems like the departure of Arthur Smith and the arrival of Kirk Cousins could be what the dynamic playmaker needs to become a true top-three back in the league.

I’m sure Bijan is feeling himself and echoing the sentiment of Oakland hero Jack Gohlke.
