Oakland’s Jack Gohlke Can’t Miss From Deep Against Kentucky & Social Media Has All The Jokes

March Madness Oakland

It’s not officially March Madness until a sharpshooting white guy from a mid-major lights up a blue blood team.

That’s what happened when the Oakland Golden Grizzlies faced off against the Kentucky Wildcats in the first round of the NCAA tournament. A widow-peaked-warrior by the name of Jack Gohlke channeled his inner Jimmer Fredette and captured the hearts of college sports fans with his dominant first half performance.

The three-point specialist hit seven threes in the first half, and hit the “Michael Jordan shrug” more than a couple of times as he simply couldn’t miss:

As you might imagine, Gohlke was trending on X (formerly known as Twitter) thanks to his electric performance. There were plenty of highlights and videos shared of the player who won the Horizon League 6th Man of the Year, but a lot of what was hitting social media were hilarious jokes and memes about Gohlke.

Like these below:

He’s certainly on his way to becoming a March Madness legend if he and the rest of the Oakland Golden Grizzlies can finish off the upset. Even if they don’t, the Jack Gohlke experience would be viewed as one of the NCAA tournament’s top moments.

If you are wondering what he did for the rest of the game, his head coach gave everyone a pretty good idea of what Gohlke would be doing during the second half:
