Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn have received a posthumous certification from the RIAA, as their duet “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man” has been certified Gold, meaning it has moved over moved over 500,000 units since it was released in 1973.

In addition, Conway Twitty received a Platinum certification for his classic “Hello Darlin’,” and another Gold record for “It’s Only Make Believe”:

Of course, “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man” was the title track from their collaborative 1973 album of the same name, and was written by Becki Bluefield and Jim Owen. It was also Loretta and Conway’s third #1 on the country charts as a duo.

It’s pretty cool to see that over 50 years later, people are still listening to this country classic and enjoying timeless music… I mean, Conway and Loretta are country at it’s best:
