Woman Claims Stanley Cup Saved Her Life When Stray Bullet Came Flying Into Her Home

Stanley Cups have the best non-intentional (or is it?) advertising in all of American consumerism.

Every couple of months, something pops up in the news that helps to support the Stanley Cup industry. Besides a worrisome moment where some concerned users were worried about Stanley Cups leading to lead poisoning, every other story that has made headlines has been incredibly beneficial for the Stanley brand.

If you need some examples, look no further than this viral moment where a Stanley Cup survived a car fire and still had ice in it, and the company paid for a new vehicle after the fact. Or this other wild story of a Stanley Cup surviving a house fire.

It’s that kind of stuff right there that has caused the “Stanley Cup Craze” to skyrocket even further to the moon, and guess what? We’ve got another Stanley Cup anecdote that’s arguably more shocking than the fire survival ones.

One TikTok user is claiming that her Stanley Cup saved her life when a stray bullet came flying through her home’s wall as a shootout took place just outside her house. As the story goes, her and her fiancé heard 7 or 8 gunshots, with one of the last they heard sending a bullet through their living room wall.

The bullet allegedly ricocheted off the Stanley Cup sitting right in front of the woman, going through a nearby perfume bottle and ending its journey in the kitchen of the home.

This TikTok posted the initial story, and since been viewed over 3 million times:

The crowd of “you can’t believe everything you see on the internet” was skeptical of the TikTok user’s story, so she posted another clip to provide further evidence.

In the second video, the bullet’s entry hole, the damaged perfume bottle, the bullet itself, and police investigating the scene help to prove that this Stanley Cup story was no joke:

So now Stanley can boast that their cups aren’t just great for holding water, or for acting as a fashionable accessory. They’re fire proof and bullet proof, at least from what we’ve seen on social media…
