Welp… it’s not even 10am and they’re making the call.

As expected, the NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway has been postponed until Monday. With rain in the forecast all weekend so far, and even more expected today, the race will be pushed to Monday afternoon with the Xfinity Series race running in the morning.

The details are in the following statement:

“Due to inclement weather, NASCAR today announced that Sunday’s DAYTONA 500 has been postponed until Monday at 4 p.m. ET. The DAYTONA 500 now joins the NASCAR Xfinity Series race (11:00 a.m. ET) on Monday, creating the first-ever Monday doubleheader at Daytona International Speedway.

The original broadcast networks remain unchanged. The NASCAR Xfinity Series race will broadcast on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. The DAYTONA 500 will be live on FOX, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

United Rentals 300 tickets take priority for seating until the completion of the NASCAR Xfinity Series race. United Rentals 300 ticket holders (who haven’t purchased tickets for the DAYTONA 500) will need to exit the grandstands following the completion of the United Rentals 300.

Fans looking to buy or sell reserved seats for the DAYTONA 500 should visit SeatGeek, the Official Ticket Marketplace of NASCAR. Tickets are available for Monday’s event.”

We’ll see you tomorrow…
