At the end of the NFL regular season, we were hit with the shocking news that six-time Super Bowl winning head coach Bill Belichick would no longer be the coach of the New England Patriots, after an awful 4-13 campaign in 2023.

The Patriots have struggled ever since Tom Brady left for Tampa Bay, having a losing record in three of the last four seasons, ultimately ending with Belichick’s worst single season record as a head coach.

Of course, we can’t forget the insane success that Belichick brought to New England, and it won’t be long before the 71-year-old gets another shot with some other franchise.

And one of those reported franchises who are interested in hiring the Hall of Fame head coach?

The Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons announced yesterday that they had interviewed Belichick, and are beginning to narrow their decision down to who they want their next head coach to be after Arthur Smith was fired after going 7-10 for a third consecutive season in Atlanta.

I have to admit, the thought of Bill Belichick even being seen in Falcons gear feels like a fever dream.

We’re talking about a guy who has spent the last 24 seasons in New England, which is borderline unheard of in this day and age in the NFL.

Not to mention, we’re also talking about the guy who coached the Patriots when they came back from being down to the Falcons 28-3 in Super Bowl LI.

And as you would expect, X had a field day with this one too:
