Mountain Lion Comes Out Of Nowhere To Attack Man Riding On His Bicycle

Let this video be a lesson to all of you out there.

What’s the lesson you might be asking? Well, if you don’t ride a bicycle outside, you can’t get attacked by a mountain lion. In fact, if you don’t exercise at all, and let’s just say sit on your couch and eat potato chips, your chances of being attacked by a big cat drop to almost ZERO.

Biking on the side of the road is dangerous for obvious reasons. There are simply too many people out there that are driving distracted and not looking out for cyclists. So adding on the chance that a mountain lion could come sprinting out of the woods after you while you ride by on a bike makes the form of exercise seem questionable at the very least.

The guy in this video seems to be using his bicycle as transportation, which makes the fact that a big cat attacked him that much worse. This dude is probably trying to get from point a to point b (shout out to him, wherever he is), and next thing you know, he’s fighting off a mountain lion.

Security camera footage showed the man pedaling along on the side of the road, and things were “business as usual” for the first 10 seconds or so. But then, without any warning at all, a ferocious mountain lion came jumping out of the roadside brush, knocking the man off of his bicycle.

When the wild animal attacked, it luckily made contact with the back tire instead of the man’s body. If you are trying to find a silver lining to this story, the mountain-lion-induced crash could have been a lot worse.

After making contact with the bicycle, the mountain lion got spooked and ran back into the woods. It appears that the biker only suffered a couple of minor injuries (scratches and bruises here and there), and was able to mount back up on his bike and pedal away.

I’m guessing he pedaled pretty fast to get away from where this went down:
