Vikings QB Kirk Cousins Was A Show Choir Superstar Back In High School

We all know Kirk Cousins as the quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings, and also the nicest person in the NFL. I don’t think anybody who watched QB1 would disagree with that statement.

But, if you flashback to 17 years ago, Cousins was just your average dude. He was a two star recruit at Holland Christian High School in Holland, Michigan, who was just trying to get a shot to play big time college football. Before Cousins committed to Michigan State, his best offers were Western Michigan and Toledo.

So, considering the now 35-year-old wasn’t heavily recruited in high school, the guy was just trying to find other things to participate in…

And I’m talking about show chorus.

While Cousins was leading Holland Christian High School on the gridiron, he was also singing showtunes in his free time, and I found this hidden gem as proof. A video is currently surfacing of Cousins rocking a cowboy hat, and singing the song “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning” from the iconic Oklahoma! musical.

The next clip also shows ol’ Kirk showing off the jazz hands behind the rest of the folks in the chorus.

And last but not least, my favorite…

And I’m talking about Kirk absolutely KILLING an acapella version of “Pretty Woman” with the boys.

Who would’ve thought this cat singing showtunes would end up being a star QB in the league only a handful of years later. Ok, I guess it makes total sense, but seriously, how can you not love this guy?
