Bison Gores A Car At Yellowstone National Park

We’ve seen so many examples of moron tourists (AKA “tourons”) completely disregarding national park rules, and messing with the wildlife as if they’re at a petting zoo.

And of course, 99.9% of the time the tourist immediately regrets his or her decision, as they typically see their life flash before their eyes… because they forget that the wildlife has “wild” in the title for a reason.

However, there are some scenarios while visiting national parks that you just can’t avoid, no matter how hard you try to follow the rules.

With that being said, sometimes you can just be driving through the park and experience an unexpected encounter.

In this wild video footage, you can see a MASSIVE bison roaming around in the middle of a busy road in Lamar Valley at Yellowstone National Park.

As you can see, the tourists are doing everything right in this situation. Traffic is stopped in front of them, so there’s nowhere to go, and they wisely stay in their vehicle as the bison makes its way to the side of their car.

The bison then proceeds to stop, lower its head, and ram straight into the front end of the vehicle, and the person videoing showed the tough damage the bison did to the car.

Now it’s hard to tell for certain, but this video may have been taken during the bison rut, when the males are much more ornery than usual as they’re in search of their perfect mate.

You have to feel for these tourists. Sometimes ya just have some bad luck. However, they have one wild story to tell, and video proof to go along with it. Just keep that insurance up to date when you’re in Yellowstone…
