It’s always a scary sight when the hunters become the hunted.
That’s exactly what happened to these orange-cladded hunters as they traversed through the snowy wooded area (I believe in Ukraine). It’s possible they were searching for wild hogs when they ended up on the wrong end of the hunt.
In the blink of an eye, the boars start coming over the hill in front of the group, fearlessly running right into battle with the hunters. The men holding guns opt not to use them and instead start bumbling and rumbling in the opposite direction. Granted, in this chaotic scene, the last thing you wanna do is start blasting with buddies running in circles.
It appears that the hogs had been through the area prior to this encounter. There are certain beaten down paths that all of the boars are utilizing as they wage war on the hunters, and the wild animals are clearly making it through the snow easier than the hunters are.
The men continue to retreat and scream at the boars as a seemingly endless stream of them continue to run through the snow. None of the defensive attempts by the hunters are successful in keeping the boars away.
A couple of the hunters even get knocked down by the pigs, who certainly put the “wild” in wild boar. With as chaotic as things were going, it is strange that none of the hunters never fired one of their guns.
It’s easy to say that with hindsight (and sitting in a very comfortable room not being chased by wild animals), but wouldn’t that make sense? Everything else that they were doing clearly wasn’t working, so I’m sure a warning shot up into the air wouldn’t have hurt anything.
This video certainly paints “dashing through the snow” in a different light than the Christmas song we all know and love. And last time I checked, “Jingle Bells” doesn’t have anything to do with wild boars…

Texas Hunter Hides Behind A Tree In The Middle Of A 100-Hog Stampede
Feral hogs… what a friggin’ pain. We’ve all seen the insane videos of these things, and if you’re down in Texas, you might’ve even seen it first hand, but they’re a BIG problem.
Hunters try and trap ’em by the dozen, take ’em out with rifles, hell some even gun them down from a helicopter, but for this fella in the video, it seems like he was just looking to shoot one of them. And as soon as he did, the rest of them came storming out… like 100 of them.
So if you ever find yourself in the middle of a hog stampede, take a lesson from this guy in East Texas and get behind a tree… fast.
Oh, and keep an eye out at the 35 second mark… one hog gets RAILROADED into a tree by another.
Joe Rogan Weighs In The Feral Hog Problem In Texas
The king of podcasting himself, Joe Rogan, recently discussed one of the most complex wildlife management issues in the country…
Feral hogs.
He used his platform to sit down with Texas chef and butcher Jesse Griffiths and educate the masses on the seemingly uncontrollable plague of feral hogs that continues to explode throughout Rogan’s new home state of Texas.
There’s somewhere between 2 million and 4 million wild hogs in the state of Texas (6 million estimated in the entire country). And because they have no breeding season, they reproduce at an astronomical rate. They can begin to breed around 5-6 months old, the gestation period is less than 4 months, and they can have anywhere from 2-12 piglets per litter.
Just do some quick math and you realize that it’s possible for a pig to have a few dozen piglets each year, who can begin to breed themselves before the year is over. It’s nuts.
So if you’ve ever seen videos of folks in Texas gunning down wild pigs from a helicopter, this is why.
And if you remember back to Jason Isbell’s Twitter conversation on gun control, it earned a viral reaction when Willie here said he needed one kill the 30-50 wild pigs than run through his yard.
And while I’m not going to get into the AR-15 argument, this conversation does go to show you how much these things are a massive pain in the ass.
