Happy Thanksgiving everybody.

It’s a day where (hopefully) everybody takes some time to be thankful for how lucky we are and everything we’ve been blessed with in our lives.

And if you need some music for your Thanksgiving playlist, newcomer Paige King Johnson has the perfect song to remind you to stop and give thanks.

If you’re not familiar with Johnson yet, the North Carolina native dropped her debut album Honky Tonk Heart last year, and her throwback country sound that evokes memories of names like Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn has earned her spots opening for ‘90s country legends like Diamond Rio, Pam Tillis and Neal McCoy.

The songs on her album include the familiar themes of love and heartbreak, and of course some honky tonkin’ thrown in there. But for her latest release, Paige is taking a step back to be thankful for all that she has.

“I Thank God,” which drops tomorrow, is a simple yet powerful reminder to slow down and appreciate everything we have to be thankful for:

“Since the day we wrote this song, it has been much bigger than just the words we wrote down. This song has brought to light so many blessings in my life and career that should be at the forefront of my mind each day, but maybe didn’t always make it there.

I hope that it can do the same for the listeners – in the good days, the tough days, the teaching days, and every day in between.”

“I Thank God” will be released tomorrow on all platforms, but we thought it was the perfect song to kick off your Thanksgiving with your loved ones, so we’re excited to bring it to you here first.

So take a listen, and make sure you take some time today to be thankful for all of the blessings that you’ve been given.
