I get that it may be hard to hit with that happening next to you, but I’m not quite sure it was the best way to handle the situation…
A two friends were out on the links a few days ago when they were disturbed by a bit of nature happening right next to one of their balls.
Two rutting whitetail bucks were doing what they do best right in the middle of the golf course, locking antlers to fight for mating rights of the nearby does, but that wasn’t sitting well with these guys, who just wanted to get back to their round of gold, so one convinced the other, most impressionable friend to do something about it.
Well, he did and almost wound up like this guy who tried to take selfie with a buck and wound up with multiple broken ribs…
Now, if you wanted to break up a deer fight, you may think of tossing a ball or club at them, maybe yelling, or, and hear me out, just moving past them and letting them handle their business, but nope, these guy needed to do something that is absolutely not advisable.
One of them smacked one of the deer right on the rear end.
Here’s how the conversation went…
“[Friend] You gotta do it.
[Butt Smacker] No way, that bitch will impale me
[Friend] Just slap it on the ass, bro.”
That was all it took and the guy, iron in hand, walked straight up to the aggressive bucks, and gave it a big old whack on the booty.
Immediately, the deer forgot all about the buck encroaching on his territory and fixed its sights right on the guy, who rightfully panicked and sprinted out of there with his tail between his legs, while his friend tried to calm the deer down.
“Okay, okay, alright, take it easy bud.”
Yeah, I’m sure that would work if it really wanted to take his buddy out…
I think it goes without saying that you should absolutely not do this, but I will also say it was pretty funny. I don’t condone it, but I’d be lying if I said it didn’t brighten my day a bit watching it happen.
You just never know what you’re going to run into on a golf course.
