Dan Campbell Tells Lions Fans To “Wear A Diaper” Because He’s Gonna Keep Going For It On 4th Down

It’s been pretty awesome to see what Dan Campbell has done as the head coach of the Detroit Lions. If you’re an NFL fan, then you know that the Lions have been bottom feeders in the league for the past few decades.

However, when Campbell took over as head coach in 2021, you could feel things start to shift. The Lions went only 3-13-1 in 2021, but were competitive in the majority of their games. In 2022, they made a massive leap, going 9-8 and were incredibly close to making the playoffs.

Fast forward to this season, and the Lions are currently 7-2, and are sitting atop the NFC North, with a good chance to be one of the top contender in the entire NFC.

It’s no secret that the players and fans have fed into Campbell’s high energy, as he’s known for his passionate halftime and postgame speeches, and likeable personality. Dan Campbell is the definition of a “football guy.”

With that being said, the man himself hilariously discussed his aggressive play calling while making an appearance on 97.1 The Ticket. In the Lions’ 41-38 thrilling victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, the team went for it on fourth down five times throughout the game.

So, Campbell hilariously addressed this on the radio show, saying:

“I had a feeling going into that game we needed to be aggressive and I loved our matchup offensively.

Here’s what I would say because I tell my family this, just wear a diaper before some of these games. I’ll give them an alert and say, ‘Put them on and be ready to roll.'”

Ya gotta love it. I’m betting the house on Campbell and the Lions the rest of this season.
