There’s one thing you need to know about country singers covering songs from other genres… it’s either genius, or it’s downright awful.

For example, the good ones include Garth Brooks’ cover of Billy Joel’s song “Shameless,” and also Chris Stapleton’s cover of The Beatle’s “Don’t Let Me Down.” And of course, more recently Luke Combs set the world on fire with his cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car.”

However, if there’s one country singer who knows how flip the switch on a rock song and country-fy it, it’s Bryant Roses.

Earlier this year, the guy put together an impressive rendition of Blink-182’s “Dammit,” proving you can turn just about any song into a country/folk song if you have the talent.

And now, the guy is back at it again, but this time he took it to another level… by covering Nirvana’s megahit “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”

If you aren’t familiar with the song, I honestly can’t help you… it’s probably just too late for you, move along. But, Bryant Roses did a complete 180, and turned it into a western ballad. Pretty impressive, I must say.

And to make it even better, he’s singing the song by a campfire and tent to really pull it all together.
