A tribute couldn’t come soon enough for an artist and songwriter the country music world lost way too soon.

Keith Gattis, a gifted songwriter who wrote for the likes of Kenny Chesney and George Strait, and a talented singer in his own right, passed away back in April at the age of 52.

Gattis reportedly died from injuries sustained during a tractor accident, and left behind his wife Penny and their two young children.

It was a devastating loss for country music, and it’s nice to see that Gattis will now be honored by some of the artists who he helped along the way.

Gattis’ songwriting was utilized and praised by country music artists such as George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Willie Nelson, Randy Travis, Kid Rock, Miranda Lambert, Randy Houser, and Wade Bowen, just to name a few.

Now, some of those very artists are coming together to honor Keith Gattis’ contributions to country music with a “Keith Gattis Tribute” at the Brooklyn Bowl Nashville music venue.

The lineup of artists is a real who’s who, with names like George Strait, Sheryl Crow, Wade Bowen, Randy Houser, Jon Pardi, Kendall Marvel, and legendary songwriter Dean Dillon among many others attached to the list of those featured in the tribute.

Wade Bowen shared the announcement to his Instagram account with the caption:

“An all-star tribute to celebrate the life of my friend and fellow Texan, Keith Gattis.”

The tribute concert is sure to be emotional, especially since it features a number of artists that Gattis worked with before his bright light was extinguished far too soon.

Surely “Little Drops of My Heart” will make the set list on November 28th at the Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville:
