When it comes to pure country music that reminds us of the good ol’ days, Jon Wolfe is the perfect exemplification of that.
Wolfe is one of the few artists in the game who knows how to perfectly mix old school, traditional country music, with the modern day sound for all the right reasons. Wolfe’s sounds is reminiscent of George Strait, Tracy Byrd, and Mark Chesnutt… some of the great ’90s country artists that also hail from the Lone Star State.
And then you have Jamey Johnson, who we all know is one of the most prolific country singer/songwriters in the game.
Not to mention, Johnson released one of the most iconic country albums of the 21st century, That Lonesome Song, back in 2008, and to me personally, there have been only a handful that have matched or come close to it.
With that being said, it appears we’re gonna be getting the best of Wolfe’s world and Johnson’s world at the same time, as Wolfe just announced his latest single, “When the Good Ol Boys Age Out,” featuring Johnson, slated to drop this Friday.
Wolfe shared via Instagram:
“Hey y’all NEW MUSIC alert! My new single ‘When the Good Ol Boys Age Out’ (featuring Jamey Johnson) will be available on a digital platforms this Friday! Set those reminders!”
