Theo Von meets Hulk Hogan…what a duo.
The legendary WWE wrestler sat down with the hilarious Theo Von to shoot a podcast episode, and the stories that came out of it are wild. The whole episode is worth a listen, but being a famous wrestler in the ’80s seemed like a TIME.
The extensive travel, the toll it took on their body, and the drug use so their body didn’t hurt, were all factors I never considered when it came to professional wrestling.
If you are a pop culture fan like me, you probably spent some time watching Total Bellas on E! and you just saw the glitz and glamor, the fitness trainers, and the private planes… but WWE wrestlers were not rolling with that kind of ritz back in the ’80s and ’90s.

While the podcast tells the truth about the industry, there are also some hilarious moments. I mean, it is Theo Von…did you think it would all be cut and dry?
Hulk Hogan and Theo Von got on the topic, and Andre the Giant and his friendship with Hogan. Von has many questions about the sheer size of Andre and how he was able to travel with the WWE wrestlers.
If you are unfamiliar, Andre the Giant was 7’4″ and 520 pounds. Not a guy you want to mess with.

Hogan tells a hilarious story about a time, later in their career, when they were flying to their wrestling matches, and Hogan invited a flight attendant to their match that night.
“I made the mistake of bringing a flight attendant to the Capital Center in Washington.
I put her right in the first row, and I didn’t tell Andre; I didn’t tell anybody.
I kind of kept rolling out of the ring right where she was and had Andre chasing me out there. Then when he’d chase me, I’d turn around and catch him real quick.”
Andre quickly caught on to who the woman was when he heard her cheering for Hogan, whose legal name is Terry. Once he put two and two together, he let Hogan have it and make sure he no longer looked big and bad, trying to impress this girl.
“He heard her scream come on Terry and he about killed me… I had those yellow tights on and he picked me up like a damn stork, with my balls and my ass hanging out, and carried me around the ring in front of this girl… with my junk hanging out.
He knew I was showing off and he beat my ass for that.”
Maybe the flight attendant was Dolly Parton.
