Firing back.

Nicole Kidman is an Oscar-winning movie star, Emmy-winning TV star, producer, philanthropist, and even married to country music’s own (and fellow Aussie) Keith Urban.

However, she isn’t immune to criticism, and she earned herself a ton of it for the cover shoot of Vanity Fair’s 2022 Hollywood Issue.

While she was under fire when the cover was released in February of 2022 for the photoshop that appeared to be done to the photo, not to mention the school-girl miniskirt she was wearing, and the drama has resurfaced with Kidman sharing her thoughts on the matter now.

Just so everyone is caught up on the drama… when the cover was unveiled, leave it to Twitter to have its two cents on the revealing outfit the actress and wife to Keith Urban wore.

Along with other comments under the Instagram post saying:

“Looks like a fuller-coverage bathing suit.”

“Omg, terrible.”

“What the hell is she wearing?”

While it seemed as though haters were going to hate on Kidman for the cover, and she was going to let it roll off her back, after a year, the star finally chimed in on the matter.

Kidman said in a recent Stellar Magazine interview, according to People Magazine:

“It was fun. That was my choice. And yeah, I own it. I’m accountable. Whatever. I take responsibility. Nobody else chose it.”

Kidman then explained that she was the one that asked to wear the outfit featured on the cover.

“Katie (the stylist) was like, ‘You’re willing to wear that?!’ And I said, ‘Wear it?! I’m begging you to wear it!'”

Kidman also says that she often gets caught up in the moment of being creative, not thinking about the repercussions of her actions or how fans are going to receive some off-the-cuff looks.

“I make the most random, crazy choices. I call them ‘teenage choices’ because I just don’t ever think of consequences.

Part of my brain just doesn’t think like that. I just go, ‘Oh, I’m going to wear that; it reminds me of my school uniform.’ Or, ‘Oh my God, yeah, I’d love to do that.

I try to [stay] in that place because I think otherwise you get scared or worried.”

While quite some time has passed, giving Nicole Kidman time to get over the hard comments from fans, it’s good to hear that she is not too upset by them.

Whether you agree with her outfit choices or not, this is certainly from her comments… Nicole Kidman is comfortable in her skin.
