The Sugar Bowl is expanding to more than just football.

September 2nd, the iconic Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff has been announced, featuring Garth Brooks, Lainey Wilson, and The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in New Orleans, Louisiana.

While the Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff is occurring months before the Sugar Bowl itself, the Caesars Superdome hopes to make this an annual Labor Day weekend celebration that celebrates the start of college football.

The all-inclusive event features a football-themed tailgate before the concert, and then fans will enter the stadium to enjoy a night filled with award-winning entertainers.

Garth is thrilled to be headlining the event:

“Being asked to be part of the first ever Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff is an honor.

The fun will be in getting to perform with Legends Nitty Gritty and future legend Miss Wilson in front of arguably the greatest country music fans on the planet. Any trip to Louisiana is a guaranteed good time, so PLEASE count me in!”

Lainey Wilson also took to her social media platforms to share her excitement to return to her home state of Louisiana.

“Well, hot dang y’all…

I’m joining the one and only Garth Brooks in my home state of Louisiana at Caesars Superdome on Sep. 2 for the Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff!”

Tickets for the event go on sale Jul. 21 and are priced at $98.95, including fees—quite the steal for such a killer lineup.

The promise of drawing football fans from all over boots New Orleans tourism and brings together most things football fans love… highlighting their team of choice, live music, and beer.

Garth isn’t “Callin’ Baton Rouge” to fans, but callin’ New Orleans.
