Yep, this is an all time low for the Colorado Rockies…
If you’re a sports fan, then you know the Denver Nuggets won the NBA finals after defeating the Miami Heat 94-89, winning the best of seven series in dominant fashion, 4-1.
All year, the Nuggets looked like the team to beat behind the incredible play of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, and they proved that by sealing the deal in the championship.
As you can imagine, it’s a great time to be a Denver sports fan, as it’s always fun when you’re hometown team wins a championship. The Colorado Avalanche are also the defending Stanley Cup Champions in the NHL, well, at least for the next 8 hours… the Las Vegas Golden Knights will look to raise Lord Stanley’s Cup if they can overcome the Florida Panthers in Game 5 tonight.
However, the other Denver sports team that’s currently in season isn’t doing too hot…
In fact, they’re doing atrocious, and I’m talking about the Colorado Rockies.
The Rockies are currently 28-40, and are sitting in dead last in the National League West division, and things aren’t looking too bright the rest of the season as they sit 14.5 games back from the first place Arizona Diamondbacks.
And their track record over the years is just jam-packed with mediocrity as they have never won their division since the team’s inception in 1993.
So, what do you do when your team is struggling but the other Denver team just won a championship?
Celebrate it like you just won a championship yourselves, right?
Wrong. You don’t do that… but that’s kinda what the Rockies appeared to do with this Twitter post.
The team’s Twitter account posted a picture congratulating the Nuggets, with really bad photoshop clips of the Nuggets’ Jokic, Murray, and Michael Porter Jr., along with…
Three other Rockies players?
Your NBA Champions!

Awkward…
Now I get it, this is probably just a joke from the Rockies social team meant to mock the team for being so awful, but judging by the replies to the tweet, a lot of fans didn’t find it very funny.
You suck Rockies. Get better

I'm trying to understand why the last-place Rockies put themselves in a tribute post to the NBA Champion Nuggets. I don't get it.

Why did we have to sneak the Rockies in there…? Great win last night but you got a while to go 😂

Not quite worthy of the same poster

Rockies again trying to hook their wagon on a successful team since they can’t win anything

Don’t disrespect the Nuggets by adding the Rockies to this poster. It’s shameful.
