Whenever you’re out on the boat at the beach, it’s probably pretty common to see a few dolphins, and maybe the occasional shark.
Shoot, you might even catch a whale off in the distance.
However, I can imagine nobody on this boat foresaw this terrifyingly close encounter.
According to the New York Post, 27-year-old Nicole Liotta was spending her Memorial Day weekend out on the water off the coast of New York near Long Beach, Long Island.
I’m sure up to this point, everything had been running smooth, and everybody was having a great time out in the sun…
Until everybody on that boat nearly saw their lives flash before their eyes.
Liotta captured a MASSIVE humpback whale breaching the water, like what you’d see straight out of a movie.
The only down part of the scene is that the whale exited the water only a few feet from the boat, and even made contact with the vessel as well. You can hear the passengers aboard scream in terror as the whale was incredibly close to completely smashing into the bow of the boat.
Luckily enough, nobody was harmed during the wild event, and no significant damage was done to the boat, but they have one hell of a story to tell their friends from here on out… and the video to prove it.
