Eric Church is officially jumping into the whiskey game.
Of course, it’s no secret to most fans that the man loves his whiskey, and in a special message to his fan club this morning, the Church Choir, he announced his new whiskey brand, Whiskey JYPSI.
In a hand-written letter, Eric noted that it’s been a two-year long project, and his love for whiskey is apparent in his music, so it was a natural venture that he can’t wait for fans to try:
“Church Choir, I’m excited to share with you a project we’ve been working on for almost two years.
You all know that I love whiskey. I write about it in my songs. I share it with you all on stage and now I’ve had the opportunity to create a whiskey from start to finish that celebrates taking chances and doing things the unconventional way.
Through this creative spirit, I’m proud to announce to you – Whiskey Jypsi. As my most loyal fans, we’ve set aside a presale allotment specifically for you… Lives are made for chances, EC.”
Eric teamed up with entrepreneur Raj Alva to found Outsiders Spirits, and their first launch brings in fellow whiskey lover, and whiskey maker, Ari Sussman for their first release.
Sussman says their only goal was to make “the finest whiskey possible”:
“I was excited to work with these guys because it all centered on quality and creativity. There were no rules or parameters. It just had to be the finest whiskey possible. Period.”
They also shared the following information about the Whiskey JYPSI Legacy Batch 001, the first in a series of forthcoming limited releases:
“Whiskey JYPSI Legacy Batch 001 is the first in a series of exclusive, limited releases featuring rare and complex blends of aged whiskeys.
Blending three distinct whiskeys, each at different stages of development from 4 to 20 years old, creating unexpectedly rich layers of aroma and flavor – not generally found in spirits.”
Premium Choir Choir members can register for presale to order Legacy Batch 001 via a link in the announcement email to receive a separate preorder link on May 16th.
Non-Premium Choir Choir members can sign up for the Whiskey JYPSI email list to receive a preorder link the following day on May 17th, 2023.
