Hyena Grabs Cape Buffalo By The Manhood After It Escapes Lion Attack In Kruger National Park

When it rains, it pours…

Kruger National Park is world renowned for its spectacularly diverse wildlife. Located in northern South Africa, the park is home to lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, wild dogs, cheetahs, hippos, wildebeest, kudu, impala, and so many more the list would take up this whole page.

Millions of tourists make the trip to this flagship safari every year in hopes to see some of these incredibly rare creatures in their natural habitat on the rolling plains.

But as we know all too well, nature isn’t sunshine and roses. It’s a constant battle to find food, avoid predators, and raise children so they can do it all over again.

One of the best examples of just how brutal life can be is this video of a cape buffalo who just barely survived a lion attack being greeted by another of the area’s many terrifying meat eaters.

The buffalo is not in great shape, clearly exhausted with major wounds on its backside. A lone hyena decides to take a stab at bringing this beast down to feed its pack by going for its most sensitive parts…

After a few attempts, the wiped out buffalo putting up no resistance at all, the hyena sinks its teeth into the privates of the buffalo and gives them a yank, which finally gets a reaction out of the nearly defeated bovine. He lets out a guttural moan and finally starts fighting back.

The hyena is forced to let go as the buffalo turns around and seems to disappear after taking one more attempt. While some may think it means the buffalo won the day, but I have to think the hyena was going back to round up the troops and return for one final go around.

Gosh, I’m feeling queasy watching this. Can’t even imagine what that feels like and I do not in the slightest want to ever find out.
