Still celebrating that national championship, eh?

Stetson Bennett, quarterback for the Georgia Bulldogs, has led his team to two consecutive national championships, most recently after knocking off TCU in a 65-7 massacre a couple weeks ago.

But last night he found himself in hot water after being arrested for public intoxication in Dallas.

According to WFAA, Bennett was arrested around 6 A.M. this morning after officers responded to reports of a man banging on random doors in Old East Dallas.

Upon their arrival, officers determined that Bennett was intoxicated and hauled him in to the detention center.

No information was provided about when Bennett would be released.

The 25-year old quarterback just finished up his career at the University of Georgia, where he threw for four touchdowns and ran for two more in their latest national championship win. He’ll enter the NFL draft as a projected late-round pick, and recently declined an invitation to next weekend’s Senior Bowl.

Guess we’ll see if this gives any interested NFL teams second thoughts…
