Watch A Baby-Faced Tyler Childers Sing “Shake The Frost” Way Back In 2011

12 years ago, and belting out songs like he knew he was gonna be a superstar… Tyler Childers never disappoints.

Throwback to 2011 when a clean-cut and baby-faced Tyler Childers let “Shake The Frost” rip at the Huntington Music & Arts Festival.

Tyler takes the stage in a suit and bowtie, which is very different than his stage outfit these days of jeans and a flannel or pullover shirt. Clearly, the young Childers was trying to make an impression… but his vocal range and lyrics do that for him no matter what his stage attire is.

It’s no secret that “Shake the Frost” was a massive hit for Childers and led to one of his more infamous performances from The Red Barn Radio in 2018.

I love hearing this song thrown around so many years prior to that performance and listening to the slight variations year by year. The addition of a slight steel guitar adds slight notes for the ear to pick up. However, I will never get tired of the acoustic and Childers belting this tune solo.

Over a decade later and he’s produced a #1 country record, sold out Red Rocks Amphitheater, sold out arena tours, Grammy nominations, and not to mention the number of Gold and Platinum records that he’s released since.

Tyler Childers Announces ‘Mule Pull ’24 Tour’

Tyler Childers is gonna have a busy 2024.

He previously announced his Mull Pull ’24 Tour, which will feature some of his biggest shows yet with arena stops in Texas, Alabama and Tennessee at Nashville’s Bridgestone arena and a multitude of other cities, as well as European dates, all of which are already sold out.

And today, he announced even more shows which will take place at Chicago’s United Center, Boulder’s Folsom Field, Washington State’s Gorge Amphitheatre, Alpharetta’s Ameris Bank Amphitheatre (two nights), Tampa’s MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre, Vancouver’s Rogers Arena and Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome if you’re still hoping to catch him live in concert next year.

Tyler is also bringing along an impressive supporting cast to open different dates, including 49 Winchester, John R Miller, Allison Russell, Hayes Carll, Medium Build, Sylvan Esso and more.

Of course, the Kentucky native just released his Rustin’ In The Rain album in September, so you’re sure to hear all of those awesome new songs, in addition to tried and true favorites like “Nose On The Grindstone” and “Lady May.”

If you can manage to get tickets, it’s certainly a show you don’t want to miss, and you can see all of the newly-added dates below.
