Jay Leno has had a tough go of it recently…

A few months ago, he severely burned his face from a gasoline fire that took place in his garage.

He was working on a 1907 antique car when he noticed the fuel line was clogged.

“The fuel line was clogged so I was underneath it. It sounded clogged and I said, ‘Blow some air through the line,’ And suddenly, boom, I got a face full of gas.

And then the pilot light jumped and my face caught on fire.”

He took a few weeks off but returned to performing after making a recovery.

But now news is breaking that the 72 year old comedian and host of Jay Leno’s Garage suffered some serious injuries in a motorcycle accident that happened on January 17th.

He was testing out a 1940 Indian motorcycle when he smelled gasoline, presumably from a leak.

“So I turned down a side street and cut through a parking lot, and unbeknownst to me, some guy had a wire strung across the parking lot but with no flag hanging from it, so, you know, I didn’t see it until it was too late.

It just clothesline me and, boom, knocked me off the bike.”

The crash resulted in a broken collarbone, two broken ribs, and two cracked kneecaps.

Fortunately, Jay seems to be doing just fine and will be working at his Las Vegas residency this weekend.

Wow, wild times for Jay Leno.

Got to give him credit for still getting out there at 72, but maybe take it a bit easier, don’t know how many major incidents one body can take…
