JJ Watt Breaks Down Into Tears Watching Retirement Farewell Video Featuring Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady & More

JJ Watt

Man, this one hits you where it hurts.

Before the end of the NFL regular season, future Hall of Famer and Arizona Cardinals defensive end JJ Watt announced that he was calling it quits with football in a social media post, saying:

“Koa’s first ever NFL game.

My last ever NFL home game.

My heart is filled with nothing but love and gratitude. It’s been an absolute honor and a pleasure.”

Needless to say, it’s been one heck of a journey for Watt, as he was an under-recruited tight end at Central Michigan University, who eventually transferred to Wisconsin as a walk-on, changed his position to a defensive end, and ultimately became arguably the best defensive player in the league over his 12 year career between the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals.

Not to mention, he’s about as selfless as they come. Donating tons of money, raising even millions more… he even paid for the funerals of all the victims involved in the horrific Waukesha Christmas Parade in December of 2021.

With that being said, the Arizona Cardinals put together a surprise farewell video for Watt.

The video kicked off with Watt’s brother and current Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end TJ Watt, saying:
