We’ve all been there.

There’s nothing better than grinding out a long, 12-hour workday, and propping up a lawn chair in your garage and cracking open an ice cold recovery beer.

Or, this time of year, getting home from dealing with your family and in-laws all weekend for Christmas, and desperately needing to drink the annoyance away.

Or, of course, if you shatter what many thought to be a near impossible NBA record, or something like that…

And that’s exactly what NBA superstar and Dallas Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic said he needed after putting together one of the most impressive performances in NBA history last night against the New York Knicks.

The 23-year-old dropped a historic 60-point, 21-rebound, and 10-assist performance in the Mav’s insane comeback win against the Knicks in overtime last night.

Although he just put together one of the best games in the history of the sport, Doncic only wanted one thing after the game, telling the sideline reporter:

“I’m tired as hell… I need a recovery beer.”

Yeah, I’d say so.

Especially after putting his team on his back and coming back from an improbable 9-point deficit with 33.9 seconds left to go in regulation.

And if you need any perspective on just how good that comeback was, NBA teams have been a combined 0-13 in the past 20 years while trailing by at least nine points with 35 seconds or less to go in the game.

Pretty damn impressive, if I must say.

Somebody get this man a beer.
