Big sky country.

Luke Grimes, who plays Kayce Dutton on the hit TV series Yellowstone recently opened up about living a Montana dream when he’s not in front of the camera.

Grimes recently went on Live with Kelly and Ryan and shared some insight into his move out of LA, and over to the peaceful state of Montana.

Host Ryan Seacrest asked Grimes what is it like living in Montana, to which Grimes called it a dream come true”

“It’s a dream, man.

I was a little worried, you know, going from LA… me and my wife got married. We didn’t want to live in L.A. anymore. We went to Austin for a bit.

She came with me for work in Montana, and we decided to move there.”

Talk about a complete change of scenery. To go from two very large cities to the mountainside of Montana, where there is more wildlife and cows than people.

He is living a Yellowstone dream on and off camera.

He goes on about how he films very close to his house, making for an ideal work commute.

After touching on how he loves living in Montana, Kelly Ripa asks about how working on set with live animals, like horses, is.

“I did go to cowboy camp; we do it every year.

I was scared for like two years. You know, they’ve got a mind of their own. There are some close calls… you can’t worry about it. Because if you worry, they worry, the whole thing.”

As a horse girl myself, he’s right. Horses pick up on all of your emotions, and after working with countless horses in my lifetime, it always blows my mind how intelligent they are.

After watching this interview, I’d officially like to swap lives with Grimes. Kayce Dutton is a heartthrob among Yellowstone fans, and now he gets to live that dream off the screen.
