Since Yellowstone announced season five is dropping November 13th, many have speculated that this just may be the show’s finale.
There’s never been any official word on that, and some have even speculated that the show could have a sixth and seventh season in the works afterwards. Kelly Reilly, AKA Beth Dutton, said that Season 5 probably won’t be the last, and with the show’s popularity right now, it’s hard to imagine it ending so soon.
But of course, the actors and show creators aren’t allowed to share any of that information, so it’s pretty much been a guessing game at this point.
Kelsey Asbille, who plays Kayce’s wife Monica on the show, recently revealed… well, nothing.
When she was asked the by ET Online, if Season 5, which is done filming, could be the final season, she responded:
“Oh man, you’re gonna get me in trouble. We shot it. Yes and no? Is that a good answer?”
Sounds like if they really wanted to end it here, they could… but they won’t.
Anyways, one of the more interesting elements of next season is that Monica is pregnant.
So she also joked about her prosthetic belly to make her look pregnant for Season Five, saying:
“Oh my goodness, I loved it. I mean, I look like I’m pregnant with twins, but, yeah, I have a lot of respect for my mother.”
Asbille also discussed her friendship with Luke Grimes, who plays Kayce Dutton on the show, and how he showed her some of the new country music he has in the works:
“He just showed me something. He’s actually in Nashville right now, so I’ll see him afterwards and see if he can show me (some more music).”
She added that what she’s heard has been “really, really good.”
But back to what she said about Season Five being the possible end of Yellowstone, I guess we’ll still have to be patient and see what it may hold for the future of the show.
Look Back At Kayce & Monica Dutton’s Tumultuous Relationship
There are so many different angles you can turn your focus to on Yellowstone.
From the tons of enemies doing everything they can to take the Dutton family’s ranch, to even the individual relationships with everybody on the show.
You have, of course, John Dutton’s relationship with his children, Beth, Jamie, and Kayce, Beth and Rip’s unique relationship, Jimmy’s new relationship with Emily and his old with Mia, and so many more.
But there’s one relationship on the show that is about as tumultuous as it gets, and it’s Kayce and Monica’s marriage, along with the parenting of their son, Tate.
Since Season One, we’ve seen tons of trials and tribulations, highs and lows between the two, and things could get really intriguing in Season Five, considering the symbolic wolf that Kayce kept seeing on his property may have something to do with Monica, although that’s not for certain.
With that being said, Yellowstone has graced us once again as we await Season Five’s premier on November 13th, with “Kayce & Monica’s Relationship Timeline.”
From the two discussing Tate growing up, Monica getting punched while trying to breakup a fight on the school’s front lawn and being sent to the hospital, Kayce visiting Tate while him and Monica are separated, Kayce visiting Monica’s new apartment and reality starting to set in that they may be done, to Kayce getting attacked in his office while on the phone with Monica, where she eventually gets attacked herself, the video has it all.

It’s official…
Yellowstone Season 5 has the green light, production started in May, and we’ll be gearing up for the Season premiere on November 13th.
And since that initial announcement, we learned a few things… one of which is that Jen Landon (Teeter) and Kathryn Kelly (Jimmy’s fiancée Emily) have been elevated to series regulars.
That means that Jimmy, who appeared to be leaving for Texas at the end of Season 4, will also be a big part of Season 5.
A number of stars from the show took to social media to share the news about Season 5, and even the main man himself, Mr. John Dutton, shared the news on Instagram.
Sharing a picture of the iconic Dutton Ranch, Kevin Costner asked fans:
What do you want to happen in season 5?
And there was a number of different answers, but three in particular had the most traction:
Goodbye Monica Dutton
Apparently, Yellowstone fans can’t stand Monica.
The wife of Kayce Dutton, and mother to John’s grandson Tate, Monica (Kelsey Asbille) is public enemy number one in the Yellowstone world.
As far as Season 5 goes, a number of fans wanted to see Kayce leave her, and some cases, even wanted to see her dead.
“For Kayce’s wife to get shipped away forever.”
“A single Kayce to move back to the ranch
“I want Kayce to leave Monica.”
“Hopefully Monica moves far away and Kayce finds a real woman… not a ‘poor me’ victim.”
“Monica dies ! I’ve had enough of her now.”
Gee, tell me how you really feel…
At least Beth has her back:
Jamie & Beth Reconcile
Another popular hope for Season 5 is that Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and her brother Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) find a way to bury the hatchet.
Granted, as the seasons have progressed, it only seems like things between them are getting worse and worse, but after he put a bullet in his biological father Garrett Randall’s (Will Patton) head, maybe there’s hope.
“Jamie to be exonerated by a life saving good deed towards the Dutton family.”
“Beth & Jamie make peace.”
“Jamie and Beth to finally get along.”
“I’d like to see John and Beth forgive Jamie.”
“I want Beth and Jamie to hash things up and show that they once loved each other.”
“Jamie catch a break and feel like he’s part of the family, Beth forgiving him and moving on.”
A noble wish indeed…
But, Jamie and Beth’s relationship also relates to the third and final (and rather surprising) wish for Season 5… a miracle baby.
Beth’s Miracle Baby
Yep… a number of Yellowstone fans want to see Rip and Beth have a baby, except of course there is one little problem… Beth can’t have children.
It’s the reason she wants to see Jamie six feet under since he helped her get an abortion that resulted in her permanent infertility. Yes, they were both probably too young to understand the gravity of what was happening, but either way, fans are hoping for a miracle baby for Beth and Rip.
“Beth getting miracle baby.”
“Beth to get pregnant and a miracle relating to the birth of the child.”
“Jamie dies and Beth somehow gets pregnant.”
“Beth to get pregnant by some miracle.”
“Rip & Beth to have twins.”
Not sure likely that one is, but hey, anything is possible on TV.
And finally, there were a few more random hopes that are worth mentioning. Some you’d expect and some that are way out of left field:
“I hope there is a way for the Yellowstone ranch to share the land with the Broken Rock Reservation as a win win.”
“Lots of visits to the train station.”
“I want John to find some happiness.”
“Rip beating people up.”
“I want to see Summer get out of jail and be pregnant.”
Get out of jail and be pregnant? Like get pregnant in jail? That’s a new one… but hey, stranger things have happened.
So, there you have it… that’s what Yellowstone fans are hoping to see from Season 5.
I guess we’ll find out this fall…
