Johnny Depp’s Attorney, Camille Vasquez, Representing ‘Yellowstone’ Actress Q’orianka Kilcher (Angela Blue Thunder) In Disability Fraud Case

Back in July, news broke that Yellowstone actress Q’orianka Kilcher, who plays Angela Blue Thunder on the show, had been charged with workers’ compensation fraud.

From 2018 to 2021, Kilcher racked up $96,836 in disability benefits after injuring her neck and right shoulder on the set of Dora and the Lost City of Gold in 2018.

However, an investigation discovered that she had been working on the set of Yellowstone in 2019 while still racking up the benefits.

She has maintained her innocence, saying she will “vigorously defend herself.”

With that being said, she’s bringing in an attorney who recently won a massive case, and we’re talking about Camille Vasquez, who represented Johnny Depp in his defamation trial against Amber Heard.

According to FOX News, Vasquez was arguably the biggest driving force in Depp’s win over Heard, which was a trial that spanned six-weeks.

She joined Brown Rudnick LLP in 2018 as a litigation attorney, and was offered a partner position after the Depp trial, working alongside Steve Cook to focus on white collar defense investigations.

Vasquez and Brown told the outlet that they are “determined to defend” Kilcher in this case, which was filed by the California Department of Insurance back in July.

They shared:

“We are determined to defend Ms. Kilcher in this important case which examines the inherent flaws in the disability compensation system.

Ms. Kilcher is a well-respected and pioneering actress in Hollywood, and we intend to clear her name.”

Sources say that Kilcher is “10% disabled for the rest of her life” after the accident on the set of Dora and the Lost City of Gold.

Although she didn’t make an appearance in season four of Yellowstone, she is set to join the cast once again for Season 5.
