Kentucky Deer Hunter Surprised To Find He Shot A Two-Headed Buck

Deer hunter

As the old saying goes, two heads are better than one, but I’m not entirely sure if it still holds true when one of the heads has been dead for weeks.

According to a post on the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources Facebook page, a Kentucky hunter got more than he bargained for when he took down what he thought was a monster buck.

As he approached his kill, he realized it had two heads, but here’s the kicker… one of them had been rotting for weeks.

“Deer Rut Double Take: Check out this unique Ballard County harvest!

Bob Long saw big antlers when he took aim at his buck at a distance, but what he found upon recovery was astounding…

It’s unclear exactly what circumstances led up to this buck’s carrying around another set of antlers and part of a decomposing carcass. Regardless, it was truly a rare harvest!”

Although it’s unclear exactly how this happened, these two bucks more than likely locked horns in a battle to the death.

After our dead buck decomposed a bit, his head most likely broke free from the rest of his body. The amazing part is how the other deer was able survive that long with another deer stuck to his head.

Pretty cool, but pretty disgusting eh?
