Eric Church is strippin’ it back.
He just released a live acoustic performance video of his current single at country radio that was part of his & album, “Doing Life With Me.”
& was released exclusively to his Church Choir fan club members as part of his 2021 Heart & Soul triple album, and though it only featured six total songs on the tracklist, “Doing Life With Me” is easily one of the standouts for me.
However, & is now set to be released to the general public next month on August 19th.
Written by Eric along with longtime collaborators Casey Beathard and Jeffrey Steele, “Doing Life With Me” is essentially a “thank you” note to those that have been with him from the beginning, through the good times and the bad, namely his wife of almost 15 years, Katherine.
Y’all know I’m always and forever partial to an acoustic version of any song that has ever existed, and this one is no exception.
It’s slowly climbing the U.S. Billboard Country Airplay chart, but no matter where the official studio cut ends up peaking, I think this is my new favorite version:
