Ronnie Dunn Announces Release Date For New Album, ‘100 Proof Neon’

Ronnie Dunn country music

Tons of new music from the great Ronnie Dunn is coming this summer.

He just dropped a brand new duet with Jake Worthington today, titled “Honky Tonk Town,” and now, we have a release date for his forthcoming studio album he’s teased for a while, 100 Proof Neon.

The new record is officially slated for July 29th:

“Excited to announce my new album 100 PROOF NEON – out July 29th!!”

He previously put out the lead single, a 90’s jam called “Broken Neon Hearts,” that you should definitely check out if you haven’t already.

And Ronnie already noted the entire album will pull from that signature 80’s and 90’s country sound we all know and love from Brooks & Dunn, and now that he owns his own publishing company (Perfect Pitch Publishing), it’s been a lot easier for the country legend to do whatever he wants with this record.

He says it’s been a long time coming, and that this is an album he’s always wanted to make:

“This is the start of a project that I’ve wanted to make for a long time.

I purposely reached for a late 80’s / 90’s Country… honky tonks, whiskey, neon lights, lost love, looking for love… twin fiddles, steel guitars, and string bending telecasters. 100% Neon.”

In addition to the duet with Jake, Ronnie confirmed on the Whiskey Riff Raff podcast a few months back that the tracklist will also feature a song with Parker McCollum.

I have a feeling there’s a whole batch of honky tonk heaters coming our way very soon…
