In an interview with People TV, Matthew McConaughey discussed his family life, his childhood, his parents relationship and more, but also, how his father passed away.
And in true McConaughey fashion, he went out with a bang… literally.
The interview contains an exclusive excerpt from his new memoir, Greenlights:
“I got a call from my Mom. ‘Your dad died.’ My knees buckled. I couldn’t believe it. He was my dad. Nobody or nothing could kill him. Except mom.
He’d always told me and my brothers, ‘Boys, when I go, I’m gonna be makin’ love to your mother.’ And that’s what happened.
He had a heart attack when he climaxed.”
A death worthy of the legendary McConaughey name.

A while back, he stopped by Jimmy Kimmel last night to promote his Greenlights memoir, but in typical Matthew McConaughey fashion, he brought a whole lot more with him.
The two discussed life at home during quarantine, some crazy stories from his book, and he wrapped it up with another signature pep talk.
