HBO Releases Official Trailer For ‘Game Of Thrones’ Prequel Series, ‘House Of The Dragon’

With the news that Yellowstone is targeting a late summer premiere, and now the new Game Of Thrones prequel is on the way too?

Nothing like spending the end of the summer in front of the TV, right?

HBO just released a new trailer for their upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon, and it looks even better than expected.

Starring Emma D’Arcy as Princcess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, Paddy Considine as King Viserys, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, and more, the new trailer gives us a badass look at what’s to come.

According to TV Line, the series is based off R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, and set 200 years before the Game of Thrones, telling the story about the House of Targaryen. And the good news, Martin is involved in the creation of the show… always a good idea.

The 10-episode first season is set to premiere Sunday, August 21st on HBO.
