On to Dover…
After the wild finish at Talladega last week, one that saw Ross Chastain make his second trip to victory lane this season, the NASCAR Cup Series heads to The Monster Mile for the DuraMAX Drydene 400 at Dover Motor Speedway.
Located in Dover, Delaware, the mile-long concrete track has hosted a NASCAR Cup Series race since 1969, and features a 24-degree bank around the corners and a 9-degree bank on the straights.
Denny Hamlin took the checkered flag last year, and while he’s won a race this season, he still sits at #24 in the Cup Series standings. Needless to say, he hasn’t been running that well this year, but he’s always in the mix to repeat last year’s magic, especially starting on the front line next to pole winner Chris Buescher.

Predictions:
We’re 10 races into the NASCAR Cup Series season and we’re about to enter a stretch of Speedway races, at Dover, Darlington, Kansas, Texas and Charlotte. Mile to mile and a half speedways, these tracks are gonna separate the men from the boys.
At Dover, I’m high on Team Hendrick, who as an entire group have been running well this season. William Byron has two wins on the year, Kyle Larson and Alex Bowman both have a win, and with a winless Chase Elliott leading the way, all four drivers find themselves in the top seven spots in the points standings.
And this week, I like Chase to snap the winless streak.
I think Chase wins today, by Kyle Larson is in the mix as well. I also like Kyle Harvick at +1800 and you gotta keep an eye on Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano who have been in the mix week in and week out. And I think Martin Truex Jr. could cause some problems too.
Aric Almirola, Cole Custer, and Austin Dillon figure to be dark horse contenders.
