Just some absolutely heartbreaking news.
Soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo announced that horrible news today that one of his twins passed away during childbirth.
Him and his partner Georgina Rodriguez announced via Instagram:
“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.
We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time.
Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”
Ronaldo and Rodriguez are also parents to their daughter Alana, 4, and Cristiano is father to son Cristiano Jr., 11, and another set of twins Mateo and Eva, 4, via surrogacy.
The couple have been together since 2016.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the two of them and their family during this tragic time.
