Bristol baby.

It’s gonna be a wild one at Bristol Motor Speedway this evening. With the low visibility, the windshields, the black walls that you can’t see… more than a few drivers have already expressed their frustration with the setup for the Cup Series Food City Dirt Race.

Even experienced dirt racers like Kyle Larson, and last year’s race winner Joey Logano have said they’re not looking forward to the race.

That being said, with the way these cars and the track are set up, it might not run like the dirt tracks they’re used to… even Aric Almirola said the track was more like a standard short track than a true dirt race: “Think more like Richmond and Martinsville than dirt-track racing.”

So without further ado… let’s get to the odds, picks and predictions for this week in NASCAR:

Predictions:

When it comes to dirt, experience is king.

It’s hard to bet against the likes of Kyle Laron, Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick and Joey Logano, and the odds reflect that, but this is NASCAR, anything can happen.

Since this is only the second time they’ve run dirt at this track, looking at last year’s race can give us an inkling on who looks comfortable on dirt and who looks lost.

I like Tyler Reddick to take the checkered flag this week, but I’d really be comfortable taking anyone in the top 5. I like Daniel Suarez to do some damage, Rick Stenhouse Jr. to be competitive and even Austin Dillon to make some noise. I don’t think Martin Truex Jr., who led a ton of laps last year does well, and I’m fading Denny Hamlin this week as well.

Picks:

Here’s what we’re going with for the Food City Dirt Race:

Winner: Tyler Reddick

Top 3: Kyle Larson

Top 5: Daniel Suarez

Top 10: Austin Dillon
