The sports world lost a legend today.

Longtime NFL reporter at ESPN, the great John Clayton passed away today at the age of 67.

If you’ve turned on ESPN in the past 20 years, you’re undoubtedly familiar with John.

He spent 22 years at ESPN from 1995-201 and was known for hosting “Four Downs” alongside former NFL quarterback Sean Salisbury, as well as for reporting on the NFL.

After leaving ESPN in 2017, he contributed to sports radio programs in Seattle, Denver and San Diego.
