Exactly a month ago, we learned of the shocking and saddening news that the hilarious comedian and actor Bob Saget, aka Danny Tanner on Full House, passed away in his Orlando, Florida hotel room at the age of 65.

And now, we know the full details about what caused his death.

According to TMZ, the autopsy showed a noticeable bruise on the back of his head, meaning he hit his head on something and passed away due to a brain bleed.

Authorities believe that Saget hit his head, whether it was on the headboard, or he fell, and since he didn’t know the severity of the injury, he went to sleep and never woke up.

We also know that there were no drugs or alcohol in his system, according to the toxicology report.

Saget’s family said in a statement:

“Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities’ investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us. The authorities have determined that Bob passed away from head trauma.

They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved.

As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter.”

RIP to America’s favorite TV dad, and comedian.

Bob’s wife Kelly shared this touching tribute to her late husband this afternoon:

And in honor of the great Bob Saget, here’s one of the dirtiest jokes you’ll probably ever hear.
