Two of the biggest names in mainstream country music are hitting the ice.

The NHL announced today via Instagram that Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley will be performing at the 2022 NHL Stadium Series on Saturday, February 26th at 7:30 PM ET in Nashville at Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans.

For those who aren’t too familiar, it’s the league’s annual outdoor game, where they select a random outdoor stadium for two teams to play at, dating all the way back to 2014.

This year’s game will feature the Nashville Predators hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning.

“We are thrilled to have two of the biggest names in country music join us in Nashville for the Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series.

Miranda and Dierks are not only two musical superstars but also hockey fans that represent the strong bond that has formed between the Predators and the country music community.

The NHL Stadium Series will celebrate Nashville’s transformation into a hockey town, the city’s country music roots and the Predators-Lightning’s growing rivalry. We expect this to be the first of many announcements to come.”

Last year’s NHL Stadium Series game was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Getting rip-shit drunk while watching two heavyweight hockey teams go at on the ice, along with a view of Nashville from the seats of Nissan Stadium?

Not to mention, some good country music… I ain’t mad at it.

It was also just announced that the 2023 Stadium Series game will be held in North Carolina for a Carolina Hurricanes game at NC State’s Carter-Finley Stadium.
