So much for respecting your elders.
Golf is already stressful enough as it is. Tensions can run high when that little white ball doesn’t go where you want it to go. So when you add in a grievance between some older golfers and some young social media influencers who are just asking for it, it should come as no surprise when things escalate.
This isn’t the first time that violence has broken out at a golf course, and it certainly won’t be the last time either. Not too long ago, we saw a complete knock-down, drag-out between some former MMA fighters and some golf dads out in Oklahoma. There was no mercy shown in that fight just as there wasn’t any in this footage below.
We don’t have a ton of details on this kerfuffle, other than it looks like the younger kids we’re really “poking the bear” and screwing around on the course. They also seem pretty drunk, so imagine trying to play behind them when they can’t stand up straight. The video picks up as the altercation is already in progress, with two older golfers walking up to confront the younger golfers that were playing in front of them.
Clearly there were some words exchanged that the “boomers” didn’t appreciate. And the younger guys were really egging on the older gentlemen to start swinging. The first thing he says is “hit me,” when one of the dads approaches him. Are you sure about that, kid? You’ve clearly never been punched before, it’s obvious you could use one, but grandpa here is from a different generation.
One man got all up in the face of the person filming, and barked out what is probably my favorite line of the entire clip:
“F**king go play f**king golf. Go!”
Yeah! It’s really that simple. Stop trying to make an altercation happen and go do what you came to this golf course to do. I have to say that I’m on the side of the older guys on this one. Especially because as these heated verbal exchanges were occurring, another of the older group came to back the guy up… and he emptied out his pockets.
Now that’s usually a really cool thing to do before a fight to show that you mean business. But it had the exact opposite effect because the guy pulled out probably a dozen golf balls of various colors. Just to let you in on a little secret, you don’t carry around that man golf balls if you are confident in your golfing ability.
However, it was good that the guy emptied his pockets, because it allowed him more flexibility and freedom of movement when he kicked the younger kid’s ass that told him:
“I bet you can’t even get it up anymore.”
That was the last straw, and triggered the older man (that some in the comments have nicknamed Colonel Sanders) to start firing punches. And it wasn’t even a close fight when things got rolling. The younger guy might not have been trying to battle back, but regardless, it wasn’t a good look to talk all of that talk only to get your you-know-what handed to you.
That’ll be the last time these youths mess with some old codgers out on the golf course. Then again, it probably won’t… because people are stupid and don’t learn from their mistakes. As soon as he said “my grandpa is a pro, my family runs this course,” you could tell what an entitled little s*** he is. Better get ready to eat more punches from old men, kid.
But hey, I bet daddy is a lawyer so you’re probably looking forward to it…
